GHL Bank Makes It To 18th CLUB 100 Awards

GHL Bank ranked 57th at the 2019 Club 100 Awards as one of the best listed company on the Ghana Stock Exchange. This comes in recognition of the bank’s growth in size and progressive profitability over the last year. 

Receiving the awards, Mr. Abdel Rahman Sunhun of the Mortgage Team of the Bank said that the award was a huge feather in the cap of GHL Bank at a time where the industry is bemoaned by some challenges. ‘Indeed, we are proud of ourselves, that against any odd we have not relented on the superior banking services we provide to Ghanaians and the significant support we give to as many more people to live their dreams with our innovative mortgage packages’ he said. 

The 17th Ghana Club 100 Awards was organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), on the theme: "Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship: Opportunities for Growth and Job Creation."

Under the distinguished patronage of the President of the Republic Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the able leadership of Mr Yofi Grant, the Chief Executive Officer of GIPC, this year’s award is on the theme, “Sustainable Agriculture; The Bedrock of Ghana’s Industrialization Drive”. It sought to recognise the best 100 companies who contributed to the growth of the country's economy in various capacities in 2019 with key highlights from the Agricultural sector. 

Mr. Yofi Grant, CEO of GIPC pledged the Centre's continuous engagement with the current top 100 companies and seek their support through mentorship to help grow the next generation of Ghana Club 100 companies.

Participating Companies of the Ghana Club 100 are to serve as role models for the private sector and provide a forum for corporate Ghana to interact with the government at a high level. This year’s event saw the presentation of awards in the following strategic sectors - Best Company in Agriculture and Agribusiness, Financial Services, Information and Communication Technology, Services, Infrastructure, Petroleum and Mining Services, Manufacturing, Tourism, Health, Education.
